Full Moon in Virgo 27 February 2021: Feeling and Healing

Full Moon in Virgo 27 February 2021: Feeling and Healing

The Full Moon in Virgo at 8 degrees and 57 minutes (9 degrees) will give you a chance to take it easy while still attending to the busyness that oftens comes with the Virgo energy.

Venus in conjunction with the Sun in Pisces adds to the feeling wanting to relax and find some solitude.  As Virgo brings us back into our bodies we can take time to scan our bodies checking in while intergrating these energies more fully.

Full Moon in Virgo is in a lovely harmonious trine to Uranus in Taurus.  Uranus really cranks up the speed at which things can happen.  Both Full Moon and Uranus are in Earthly signs so you may find yourself being very productive and all planets are now direct meaning things will move forward.

Thank You for listening and many blessings to you.

Hello and Welcome to the Astrology in You Podcast, I’m Kerrie Hourigan and today we are looking at the Full Moon in Virgo happening on 27th February 2021.

The Full Moon in Virgo will be at 8° 57 minutes so you can round that up to 9° of Virgo and make sure you are looking at your location as it can occur for you on the 26th February.   Depending on what house the Full Moon falls in will illuminate that area of your life bringing the energies of Virgo.

The Moon: correlates to our emotions, feelings of inner security and safety and what fulfills us on a daily basis. It correlates to our self-image and how we see ourselves.

Representing our mother or the mother figure in our lives, intuition, sensitivity, imagination, sympathy, our own internal mother, our subconscious, and our instinctive emotional patterns.

Other areas that are under the influence of  the Moon are birth, death, mass consciousness, and the rhythms of the body.  In astrology our emotions are represented by water so if you think of the ebb and flow of the tides and how this is influenced by the Moon.

Inner Security:

We MUST realise that our feelings of security can only come from within.  We fool ourselves when we believe security comes from outside of us.  Although it can certainly feel that way, it really doesn’t.

When we put our security in another person or something outside of us whether it is money, a job, a house all these things can be either taken away or they leave us.  This can create a life crisis where we look for the next thing outside of us to invest our security in and the emotional rollercoaster begins again.

Our Inner Security Ultimately Can Only Come From Within Us.

Unhealthy Side of the Moon:

Because the Moon rules our “feeling nature” there are no rules or guidelines to follow, so when we are triggered our emotional reactions can be unreasonable, out of control and distorted.   The question is what is triggering us?

Stressful thoughts and concepts can cause us to react irrationally.  Investigating our stressful thoughts is the gateway to freedom and inner security.  I recommend “The Work” by the wonderful Byron Katie.  The Work is a process of unravelling the stressful thinking that causes us to suffer.   Once our stressful thoughts and concepts are addressed we have freedom and end our torment and suffering.  I can’t recommend Byron Katie enough.

The Full Moon:   is when the Sun and Moon are in opposition to each other where is where the energy of the Moon begins it “waning” phase. This is a time of completion, resolution, and letting go.   This is also opposing forces where conflict can be triggered so it is recommended to learn some diplomacy and strategies.

The Full Moon illuminates and reveals to you through the house the energy it falls into.

This Full Moon in Virgo event is forming a “bucket pattern” meaning a planet, in this case the Moon is all by itself opposing many planets. This can sometimes mean we experience feelings losing touch with things.  The Moon will be the focal point in this event and may

Virgo:  is a mutable Earth sign ruled by Mercury, medically ruling the pancreas, digestion, and spleen.

Virgo relates to our health, being organised, analytical, separating what is useful as opposed to what is useless and therefore the critic and judgement sits here. Depending on how the message is received, whether from another or our own internal dialog, it can be hurtful and brutal.  Try to remember this happens “for you” not “too you”

Mercury rules the nervous system, thoughts, ideas, and concepts.  If these thoughts are critical in nature, through the archetype of Virgo you can be the “alchemist” to purify and rid yourself of any toxicity whether that is what you put into your body or stressful thoughts.

Virgo grounds us in reality, be realistic in what you can achieve to avoid the feelings of guilt and unworthiness.

Full Moon in Virgo:

The Full Moon in Virgo will help you prioritise what needs to be done and help let go of what does not serve you anymore or is not necessary.   It is time to continue to move forward, time to heal what has hurt you or kept you from what you want.

Virgo sends us inward to be in our bodies, to feel our bodies.  Is there something you need to do in regards to your health, finances, your thinking or emotional body.

This is a time for compassion and kindness to yourself in solitude and to kick back and rest.

Unhealthy Side to Virgo:

Often Virgo is associated with “perfection”.  One must remember that perfection is a destination we arrive at.  Thinking one is not perfect leads to stress and anxiety and often is from unrealistic comparisons.

Perfection or at least our idea of perfection comes from continually adjusting and fine-tuning.

Other Important Placements Worth Mentioning:

In the Full Moon the Sun sits in the opposite sign, here it is sitting in Pisces.   You may have feelings of confliction where you want to be in all the busyness of Virgo but want to kickback at the same time.   This is perfectly ok to do.

We have Venus in conjunction with the Sun in Pisces adding to the feeling wanting to relax finding some solitude.  Pisces being the last sign of the zodiac is also about completion.  Look to being kind, compassionate and forgiving of yourself.

Let go of all guilt, shame, resentment, and anxiety.  (see the work of Louise Hay and Byron Katie)

You may experience some conflictions with the Virgo Full Moon as Virgo wants to be efficient and productive.  Certainly do what needs to be done, prioritise the most important but this Full Moon is about finding solitude.

Mercury being the ruler of Virgo is currently in Aquarius conjunct Jupiter, the “Expander”.  Having ideas of big things to come is wonderful, but how, thankfully we also have Saturn keeping company with these two powerhouses and if you contemplate your future and concepts the “how” will come.   Meditation practice.

Thank You for listening, and I'll see you next time!
