The New Moon in Pisces happening at 23 degrees and 3 minutes is the ideal opportunity to let go of old burdens to begin the new cycle.   With both Venus and Neptune also in Pisces conjuncting both the Sun and the Moon allowing loving and supporting energy with you to help you move forward.  Neptune is known as the dissolver with Venus representing gratuities.  In this case the gratuity of love, specifically the gift of “self-love”.

This New Moon is in a sextile aspect to Pluto in Capricorn assisting with transformational shift for your self-empowerment. There is also a sextile to Mars and the North Node in Gemini.  It is important to keep Mars in Gemini heading in the right direction as both Mars and Gemini can be scattered and directionless.

New Moon in Pisces on the 13th March 2021 at 23°, 3 minutes

Hello and Welcome to the Astrology in You Podcast and today we are looking at the New Moon in Pisces happening on 13th March 2021.

I’m Kerrie Hourigan and Thank you for tuning in.  This New Moon in Pisces will be at 23° 3 minutes so check where this is transiting in your chart to see what house it falls in and what this means for you.  You can get a free chart from www.astro.com.

The Moon correlates to our emotions, feelings of inner security and safety and what fulfills us on a daily basis. It correlates to our self-image and how we see ourselves.

Representing our mother or the mother figure in our lives, intuition, sensitivity, imagination, sympathy, our own internal mother, our subconscious, and our instinctive emotional patterns.

Other areas that are under the influence of  the Moon are birth, death, mass consciousness, and the rhythms of the body.  In astrology our emotions are represented by water so think of the ebb and flow of the tides and how this is influenced by the Moon and how our emotions take on the characteristics of water.

Inner Security:

We MUST realise that our feelings of security can only come from within.  We fool ourselves when we believe security comes from outside of us.  Although it can certainly feel that way, it really doesn’t.

When we put our security in something outside of us such as another person money, a job, a house and other material things and they are either taken away or they leave us we can create a life crisis.  We begin to look for the next thing outside of us to invest our security in and the emotional rollercoaster begins again.

Our Inner Security Ultimately Can Only Come From Within Us.

Shadow or Distorted Side of the Moon:

Because the Moon rules our “feeling nature” there are no rules or guidelines to follow, so when we are triggered our emotional reactions can be unreasonable, out of control and distorted.   What is triggering you usually indicates what needs to heal withing you.    The question is what is triggering us?

When our buttons are pressed causing stressful thoughts we react irrationally and impulsively with emotional outbursts or withdrawing ourselves.

Investigating our stressful thoughts is the gateway to freedom and inner security.  I recommend “The Work” by the wonderful Byron Katie.  The Work is a process of unravelling the stressful thinking that causes us to suffer.   Once our stressful thoughts and concepts are addressed our emotions shift and we feel the end of our torment and suffering and we are free.  I can’t recommend Byron Katie enough.

The New Moon:

So, the New Moon is when the Sun and Moon are together signifying the beginning of a new cycle.  This is the ideal time to set seeds to continually nurture on what you want to create.  This continues till the Full Moon that occurs in the same sign around six months from now where the energy is expressed outwards bringing your creation into physical world.

The New Moon is flavoured with the coinciding energy of the sign it falls into which in this case is Pisces.  It is also an instinctive energy with a drive to move forward giving your creation the fuel to power it on.  There is also an impulsive tendency that can be without forethought.

The New Phase also signifies the completion of something to release and let go making room to bring in the new.  Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac also signifying a releasing to merge back into the mutable waters of this energy.

Pisces is a mutable Water sign ruled by Neptune and the 12th house. Medically ruling the feet, pineal gland, and the lymphatic system.

In traditional astrology Pisces known for being the most compassionate and sensitive  and characterised by empathy.  People will always feel loved around Pisces, it is the most intuitive sign of all and thrives on imagination in a world of fantasy while its connection to the spiritual and mystical is very strong.

People with strong Piscean energy are gentle shy and sensitive, they can often give the impression of vagueness escaping to other realms of dreams and fantasy.  This is because all the signs merge into Pisces giving a laid back and going with the flow attitude.

They have the ability to tune-in and sense the energetic undercurrents, similar to Scorpio with their ability to read and feel the energies of others.

There are times they are not being able to distinguish others energy from their own and this can cause great distress.

They are endearing, enchanting and wonderfully adaptable and very loving. They often make very good actors as they can merge with the character they are portraying while artists also have very strong Piscean energies.

Pisces is a very powerful energy as it is the centre of our imagination.  We can pull what we imagine into the physical world through its polarity sign of Virgo.  Virgo will disclose the details of how we can bring our creation into reality.

(from Jeffery Wolf Green – The School of Evolutionary Astrology).

Pisces is Yin meaning the energy comes back to the center.  Both Pisces and  Neptune (Pisces ruler) correlate to the phenomena of “Consciousness”.   Consciousness is in everything from the chair you sit on to highest form of Consciousness (GOD).  It is the level of self-awareness within the Consciousness.

Once this awareness that Consciousness is in everything, we realise we are all connected on a Conscious level.  Consciousness can be akin to Water, Water is Pisces; mutable with no form yet can assume any form of any form structure it is put into.   The Human Being is a form. A rock is a form, A microphone is a form. The totality of creation is therefore conditioned by the nature of the form in which Consciousness exists and it is interactive.  It is what Yogananda called “lifetrons”.

When I read this I equated to Quantum Physics (the world beyond the Physical)  A great introduction to Quantum Physics is “What the Bleep Do We Know”

Shadow or Distorted Side of Pisces:

Clarity is often a challenge for the Pisces energy and keeping grounded can be a real struggle. It is important to distinguish reality from fantasy.

Words like disappointment, blame, sorrow, sadness, self-pity, powerlessness, disassociation and even masochism represent the distortion of the Pisces energy.  When we are in these emotions it is vital to “ground ourselves” in the polarity Earth sign of Virgo, such as being in nature.

Again I recommend the work of Byron Katie where she will show you how you need to be so gentle, empathic, and compassionate to yourself to unravel the distortions.

New Moon in Pisces:

We often talk about letting go and releasing in the Full Moon Phase, this is also necessary in the New Moon phase as well.  To begin a new cycle we must release that which no longer is needed or that which time has come.

The Sun and the Moon together signifies the New Moon in Pisces phase both at 23°. This is nearing the end of a cycle.  With the ending of a cycle we can open up a new cycle. One in which you will feel an emotional shift of letting go or releasing something that may be coming up to the surface which needs to be addressed, so this could be a very emotional time for you,.

With Venus and Neptune also sitting in Pisces you can have this loving and supporting energy with you to help you move forward.  Neptune is the dissolver with Venus about gratuities.  In this case the gratuity of love, specifically the gift of     “self-love”.   Watch for feelings of victim consciousness as this will hold you back again.   Look to how you can view things differently.  In the words of Wayne Dyer on the Tao “Change the Way You Look at Things and the Things You Look at Change”

With Venus in this position to the New Moon in Pisces be aware of opportunities that will present themselves.

This New Moon is in a sextile aspect to Pluto in Capricorn.   This aspect suggests ease of flowing energy.  Whatever new project whether that is to bring something into to physical world or to address emotions, Pluto in Capricorn will assist with structure to the how for the transformational shift and you will be in your power.
